How it works

Text photos. We sell accepted pieces for you.

Furniture resale in the Hamptons is more than posting a picture. The work is pricing, pickup, listings, buyer screening, negotiation, timing, and a clean payout record.

Process

From first photo to seller payout.

Each step is designed to remove the parts of resale that sellers usually get stuck managing themselves.

  1. 01

Send photos and a few basics.

Start with clear photos plus what the item is, brand or maker if known, rough dimensions, condition, and pickup town. That is enough for an initial yes/no.

  2. 02

We check fit before anyone wastes time.

We look at category, style, scale, condition, season, likely buyer pool, and whether the price path can work in the local market.

  3. 03

    Accepted pieces get picked up.

If the item is accepted, pickup is included. We coordinate timing and access so the seller is not arranging movers or fielding buyer logistics.

  4. 04

We package and list it where buyers already shop.

We prepare the listing package and distribute it across the right mix of Heritage Haus inventory, Facebook Marketplace, Facebook Groups, Craigslist, Nextdoor, OfferUp, AptDeco, Chairish, local lists, and designer outreach.

  5. 05

We negotiate and coordinate the buyer side.

Buyer questions, condition checks, offers, counters, holds, timing, and pickup details run through Heritage Haus. This is usually where private sellers lose the most time.

  6. 06

You get a clear sale record and payout calculation.

Once the item sells, we record the final sale price and calculate the 50/50 seller split. Any pricing changes are handled through the agreed seller terms.

Pricing policy

We price for movement, not storage.

Every accepted piece starts at an agreed listing price. If the market does not respond, we revisit the strategy so the item can keep moving without surprises.

Start Agreed price

We start with a price that reflects condition, brand, scale, and local demand.

Market read Buyer response

We watch questions, saves, offers, and channel performance instead of letting listings sit stale.

Next step Seller alignment

If a price adjustment makes sense, the goal is still the same: sell the item and close the loop clearly.

What we look for

Acceptance is selective on purpose.

The tighter the intake filter, the better the buyer experience and the faster accepted pieces can move.

Usually stronger fits

  • Designer, recognizable, or well-made pieces.
  • Clean condition with limited wear.
  • Useful Hamptons categories: sofas, dining, outdoor, accent chairs, mirrors, and case goods.
  • Realistic pricing expectations and flexible timing.

Usually slower fits

  • Heavy damage, stains, odors, or missing parts.
  • Pieces that are oversized for most local buyers.
  • Unclear maker details paired with near-retail pricing.
  • Items that need paid storage before there is buyer demand.

Seller confidence

What has to be clear before a piece goes live.

Good resale depends on buyer trust. Accepted items need enough detail to support pricing, answer questions, and avoid surprises later.

Condition standards

We prioritize clean, structurally sound pieces with light wear, clear photos, and honest notes on marks, fading, stains, repairs, or missing parts.

Payout clarity

The default seller split is 50/50 after sale. Example: a $3,000 final sale produces a $1,500 seller payout before any separately agreed expenses.

Pickup and holds

Accepted pieces get pickup from Westhampton to Montauk. Buyer holds, access windows, timing, and payment terms are confirmed before handoff.
